Chapter 11
As a language teacher, using audio visual technology is essential. I could use traditional audio technology like cassette tape players and recorders to tape students speaking and be able to play it back later. I could also use newer technology such as internet audio, and MP3 formatted audio to help students practice spanish listening skills. I will need to use visual technology as well, such as the traditional overhead projectors to show documents to the entire class. If I lucky, though I might have newer document projection technology such as a document camera that I can use to show the entire class documents and small objects. Using these tools will help my teaching and better engage the students.

Chapter 6
I would prefer to be in a classroom that had more digital technology as opposed to a classroom that had very little technology, although I think that there is probably a middle ground. As a Spanish teacher, it would be very useful to have a variety of technology such a a video and voice recorders, computers, smart boards, etc. I believe that in a classroom where students are learning a foreign language it is especially important to present students with the information every way possible, so that each student will get a chance at learning in the way that works best for them. I do think, however, that students could be overstimulated with technology or that it could be more distracting then helpful at times, so I would have to monitor the students carefully and make sure they all know how to properly use the technology. Overall, I think that having more technology and being able to use it to enhance lessons is preferable to a classroom without technology.
